You're coming to the Zombie Knitpocalypse 2014 Retreat! Get ready to knit,chat, win prizes, shop the marketplace, attend break out sessions, and overall just have a BLAST!All of the following are optional extra activities that you may join at additional cost. There is no pressure to sign-up for these excursions, but please feel free to join the fun if you are interested.
Excursions are only available to registered retreat attendees at a first come first served basis.
All excursion fees are non-refundable.
Yarn Crawl Friday - $14 - Friday June 20th 1 - 5:30PM
All aboard the yarn bus! The yarn crawl includes stops at 3 nearby yarn stores that are rolling out the red carpet for YOU. This package includes a posh bus filled with your knitting buddies to chat with and a bathroom. The crawl departs from the Kahler hotel and stops include:
Hank and Purl's Creativity Nook - A special trunk show with a TBD local dyer/farm
Bee Lighted - Catherine Friend book signing, author of Hit by a Farm and Sheepish
What in Yarnation - A special trunk show with a TBD local dyer/farm
Zombie Prediction 5K Run/Walk - $10 - Friday June 20th 9AM
Zombies go at all speeds: some shamble, others jet. Lets get moving zombies! This 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) course is designed for walkers and runners alike on Rochester's fabulous riverfront trails. Participants submit a predicted time, no timing devices are allowed on the course, and those closest to their predicted time win.
This package includes a fun participation award, prizes, and after race refreshments.
Time submissions will be requested closer to June. Route will be the same as the 2013 route.
